Phyllis does a number of things that help me generate business. For example, she has located the names of various meeting planners who ended up hiring me. She sent out postcards to bookstores that ended up buying my book. She is constantly on the lookout for media people who are looking for what I offer, which indirectly leads to income. She summarizes my evaluation forms and sends me a list of referrals from those evaluation forms that lead to work. Because she is doing a lot of the administrative work that I used to do, it now frees me up to do more writing, to improve my presentations, and to make more sales calls. And, best of all, Phyllis often makes me laugh, which keeps me in good spirits to help me motivate others with humour.
